The main goal of the project is to deepen the cooperation of technical universities by rediscovering
our common cultural roots and digitizing them for future generations with the development of soft
skills by technical university students to promote cultural heritage in the border region.
The goal of the project is related to the goal of the program through the deepening of cross-border
cooperation, popularization through digitization of Cultural values in the common Carpathians
The project “Rediscovering our Common Cultural Roots and Didgitalizing them for Future
Generations” with the developed measures will contribute to the achievement of the specific goal of
cross-border cooperation by promoting the cultural dialogue of student youth. It is planned to
organize joint actions to preserve and promote local cultural traditions in Romania and Ukraine;
conducting joint educational events for students of two technical universities with the aim of
promoting cooperation in the field of culture and intercultural dialogue.
It is planned to create a cultural center and purchase equipment with the help of which cultural
assets – our common roots will be digitized, which will interest the younger generation and will allow
the preservation of the cultural heritage for future generations. Virtual centers will be created in
parallel at both universities.
The project envisages the organization of two student camps – one in Romania, and one in Ukraine,
where students together at an intercultural festival present their culture through art, music, dance,
food, etc. During the implementation of the project and after it, it is planned to hold seminars,
conferences, master classes, and other events on an ongoing basis.
It is innovative that the development of programs using cultural values in the shared Carpathians
for virtual reality will begin during the project and will be continued by students in the future as part
of the qualification work bachelor thesis.
Development of the electronic album “Cultural Values in the Common Carpathians (Ukraine
Romania)”, which includes sections: art, food, folk crafts, folk traditions, holidays, music, and
dances, which will be available to everyone after the completion of the project. The album will be
used for further education of students (an online platform “Cultural heritage in the Joint Carpathians
(Ukraine-Romania) will be developed”)
Goal 1 Increasing the role of the cultural component in the training of students of technical universities by creating an organization of virtual training centers in border technical universities
“Cultural values of the common Carpathians” in order to preserve and enrich common cultural
traditions
Goal 2. Promotion of cultural cooperation and intercultural dialogue by organizing student camps,
competitions, workshops, conferences, and festivals.
Goal 3 Improving the accessibility of existing cultural heritage sites, including the provision of a
digital album, programs for virtual reality, including multilingual (Romanian, Ukrainian, English)
services of digital products and printed publications (Guide to traditional crafts of dyeing (Easter
eggs, wool), Guide to Traditional Cuisine, Guide to Ceramics, Guide to Traditional Musical
Instruments, Guide to Traditional Dances, Guide to Folk Traditions and Holidays).
