Education is of cornerstone importance to any society as it generates the workforce that keeps the
economy thriving and the support services necessary for a robust society. The common challenges
that will be jointly tackled in the project are: a decreasing trend of enrollment in technological or
vocational education, a high percentage of youth neither in employment, low quality of educational
infrastructure, and an insufficient level of digitization of education for online classes.
The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality and availability of professional technical
education in the field of automated production and lifelong learning by strengthening the practical
component through the involvement of modern equipment and advanced digital technologies.
The project implementation is expected to generate positive results related to infrastructure for
vocational and technical education, support for the development of digital skills, and support for developing joint strategies for lifelong learning.

The main outputs of the projects are as follows:
1.Modernized and rehabilitated educational infrastructure based on technical universities of cross-
border regions, including:
1.1. Training laboratory on technologies with CNC machines: educational turning and milling CNC
machines, simulators, software for CNC machines technologies.
1.2. Professional center with CNC machines and robots: multifunctional processing machine,
industrial robot, turning CNC machine.
1.3. Computer class with CAD/CAM systems: workstations, server, software.
The proposed learning environment will improve the quality of education in the field of mechanical
engineering. Specialized software will provide an opportunity to acquire new digital skills for teachers
and students and will be accessible to people with disabilities. Students and teachers of various
educational institutions in the region will be able to use modern laboratories. Employment centers
will also be able to refer temporarily unemployed people for retraining.

2.Educational and lifelong learning, training, and mentorship programs, including:
2.1. Educational programs for distance learning courses: Guide CAD for high school students, Guide
for work in
CAM systems, Handbook for CNC operator, Applications of part manufacturing technology using
the CNC Machine, Applicative Guide in Virtual Reality.
2.2. Training courses: CNC machines operators, milling and turning on CNC machines,
programming of industrial robots, five-coordinate processing, Training for high school students on
CAD systems.
2.3. Certified specialists using established laboratories according to proposed training courses.
Educational and training programs are aimed at the acquisition of professional competences by
students, teachers, engineering and technical workers, and also contribute to the strengthening of
their digital competences. Some of the training courses are designed for a distance learning.
Manuals prepared by technical experts from all project partners will be used during the shared
trainings.

3.Joint initiatives for the popularization of technical education, including:
3.1. Educational web platform for the development of tools to ensure stable long-term cooperation.
3.2. Agreements between institutions.
3.3. Joint strategy that supports adult education and training.

Strategic and technological solutions adapted to the local needs and conditions of cross-border
regions support
joint learning and good practice exchange between teachers/education professionals from both
sides of the border.

The cross-border approach involves the exchange of knowledge and experience between scientists
from Romania and Ukraine to use different points of view and better understand the problem of
technology education. This includes a comprehensive situational analysis, extended corrective
actions, and interdisciplinary cooperation. Through collaboration between scientists, research
institutions, and policymakers, more effective strategies and solutions for distance and online
education and training will be developed. Cross-border cooperation promotes mutual support and
exchange of knowledge, accelerating progress to provide the necessary material preconditions for
quality education.

The novelty of this project is the proposed educational laboratories, which can be used by
participants of different levels of training and age, from high school students to professional
engineers and workers. During training, a project-oriented approach will be used, providing an
opportunity to create prototypes and educational models. The full launch of laboratory capacities and
educational programs will contribute to the reduction of unemployment in the region.
