About the association

The Association Academic Organization for Research, Innovation and Professional Development aims to promote and develop education and science by strengthening the intellectual, institutional, material and social framework corresponding to the development of educational activities and scientific research.

The association works to resolve interests in the research, education and scientific sectors, both nationally and internationally. It organises and funds specific programmes for disadvantaged categories of people and for people with disabilities, supports and funds non-governmental organisations locally, regionally and internationally, and involves youth groups, community groups and local, regional and national administrations in actions for sustainable development, health protection, environmental protection and social protection - at home and abroad.

Not least, the association protects the interests of its members, who work in the field of education and professional training in various fields.

Reform of technical education

The association is involved in the process of reforming technical education in Romania through the organisation of dialogue groups, round tables, colloquia, national and international conferences, symposia and other forms of debate focused on the issues of adapting university strategy and curriculum to the needs of Romanian society.

By organising meetings of an educational, scientific, cultural and social nature, the association aims to develop skills and knowledge in the elaboration of projects, as well as to provide consultancy in writing them.

What we do in practice

• European projects - from educational infrastructure (CNC and CAD/CAM laboratories) to the digitisation of cultural heritage. See the projects
• International conferences - the Innovative Ideas in Science series, held annually since 2015 together with universities from Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Ukraine and Poland. See the conferences

The link with the university

One of the association's central directions is to attract into its ranks a significant part of the graduates of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, North University Centre of Baia Mare, whether at home or abroad - and to promote the image of this institution, in order to recruit valuable candidates.

In practice this means: assistance in organising students' production practice and in preparing diploma projects, visits to relevant industrial units, conferences by specialists in the faculty's lecture halls, brokering scholarship offers from economic operators interested in recruitment, and actions to promote the original creative work of teaching staff, students and graduates.
