Root4Dig launch: opening conference in Ivano-Frankivsk
On 15 May 2025, the opening conference hosted by IFNTUOG marked the start of a cross-border collaboration dedicated to digitising Carpathian heritage.
1 / 10The opening conference of the "Rediscovering our Common Cultural Roots and Digitalizing them for Future Generations - Root4Dig" project officially took place on 15 May 2025, marking the start of a significant cross-border collaboration.
The conference was hosted by the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. The project is implemented simultaneously in Maramureș County (Romania) and the Ivano-Frankivsk region (Ukraine) to deepen cross-border partnerships and ensure the digital preservation of the Carpathian region's cultural heritage.
Opening remarks
The event was moderated by Prof. Liudmyla Arkhypova, project manager and professor at the Department of Ecology (IFNTUOG). Congratulatory addresses were delivered by:
- Serhii Zikratyi, Vice-Rector, IFNTUOG
- Assoc. Prof. Eng. Cristian Barz, President of the Association (AAORIDP)
The speakers highlighted the strategic directions of the scientific work, the resources allocated for implementation, and the importance of inter-university cooperation.
