Unlike the educational robotic arm, this is a full-scale industrial robot, part of the professional centre with CNC machines and robots created through the ATEd project.
What it is used for
- programming industrial robots, one of the project's training courses
- integrating the robot into a machining cell alongside the CNC machines
- handling and automatic loading of machine tools
- preparing students for the real industrial environment, where such equipment is standard
The difference from the educational arm
The educational robotic arm is where you learn the logic: kinematics, trajectories, gripping. The industrial robot is the next step, where the same principles apply on production equipment, with the safety and precision requirements that come with it.
