H3P humanoid robot

A humanoid robot used for demonstrations, human–machine interaction and engineering outreach among school pupils.

Location
Baia Mare, Maramureș - Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, North University Centre

The H3P humanoid robot is usually the piece of equipment that opens group visits. It is the one that convinces a high school pupil that engineering is not just formulas on a blackboard.

What it is used for

  • Human–machine interaction demonstrations
  • Engineering outreach activities among school pupils
  • Programming behaviours and motion sequences
  • Experiments in perception and sensors

Alongside the bionic hand

Together with the bionic hand in the centre's inventory, the H3P robot covers the anthropomorphic robotics area - a direction that particularly attracts students interested in mechatronics and in the medical applications of engineering.
