ATEd project contract signed

On June 16, 2025, the contract was signed for the implementation of the project "ATEd – Academic Technology Education Across Borders", code ROUA00183, under the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania–Ukraine 2021–2027 programme.

The project supports the development of technical and vocational education by modernizing educational infrastructure, creating CNC and CAD/CAM laboratories, and implementing training programmes for students, teachers, and adults. Through Romania–Ukraine cross-border cooperation, the project strengthens digital competences, supports lifelong learning, and contributes to reducing unemployment in the border region.

Expected results include modern laboratories equipped with CNC machines, industrial robots, and CAD/CAM systems; training and mentoring programmes for pupils, students, teachers, and technical specialists; educational manuals and guides, including for distance learning; a shared educational platform and a strategy for adult education; and strengthened cross-border cooperation between institutions in Romania and Ukraine.

Total budget: EUR 1,254,828.85. European Union contribution: EUR 1,129,345.95. Implementation period: June 16, 2025 – June 15, 2027.
