Opening conference held at UTCN-NUCBM, Baia Mare

The hybrid opening conference for ATEd, bringing together partners from Romania and Ukraine and guest speakers, took place on 25 September 2025.

On September 25, 2025, the opening conference organized by Partner 3, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, North University Center of Baia Mare, took place within the ATEd project. The event was held in a hybrid format - in person at UTCN-NUCBM and online via Microsoft Teams.

Speakers included Olivian Chiver (Dean, UTCN-NUCBM), Ihor Chudyk (Rector, IFNTUOG – Lead Partner), Lesya Shkitsa (Project Manager, IFNTUOG), Cristian Barz (President, AAORIDP – event moderator), Marius Cosma (UTCN-NUCBM), Zoltan Erdei (AAORIDP), Liudmyla Arkhypova (IFNTUOG), Oleg Onysko (IFNTUOG), and Zsolt Čonka (Technical University of Košice), who presented results from the INTERREG Central Europe V4GRID project.

The conference presented the objectives and activities of ATEd, which strengthens technical and vocational education through modernized infrastructure, CNC and CAD/CAM labs, and training programs for students, teachers, and adults. The event closed with an interactive Q&A session reflecting strong interest in human capital development in the cross-border region.

The ATEd – ROUA00183 project runs for 24 months and aims to strengthen cooperation between technical universities in Romania and Ukraine, provide access to modern training technologies, and build the skills needed for a competitive, innovative economy.
