The VR glasses are used in the centre in two very different directions, and both work.
Technical training
An operator can learn the sequence of operations on a CNC machine in a virtual environment, where a mistake damages neither the part, nor the tool, nor the machine. The Applicative Guide in Virtual Reality developed within the ATEd project follows exactly this idea: training starts in VR and continues on the real equipment.
Cultural heritage
In the Root4Dig project, 3D-scanned objects and spaces become VR experiences. A student can step into a pottery workshop or examine a traditional musical instrument from every angle, without touching the original object.
