High school students train in the UTCN CAD/CAM lab

Students from "George Barițiu" Technological High School Baia Mare visited the new CAD/CAM laboratory at UTCN-NUCBM for a hands-on training session.

On June 17, 2026, at the North Center of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in Baia Mare, the activity "Training for High School Students to Improve Competencies in the Use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD/CAM) Systems" was organized within the ATEd project.

The training took place in the newly established CAD/CAM laboratory, equipped with modern computers, providing students from George Barițiu Technological High School with the opportunity to explore the advantages and practical applications of CAD/CAM technologies in engineering and technical fields.

The session was delivered by Assoc. Prof. PhD Eng. Nicolae Medan, Lecturer PhD Eng. Alina Bianca Pop, and Project Manager Cristian Barz.

During the training, students learned about the benefits of CAD/CAM technologies, educational and career opportunities in technical fields, and gained introductory knowledge of modern computer-aided design tools.

The ATEd – ROUA00183 project continues by implementing the planned activities and developing the educational infrastructure aimed at supporting the training of future specialists.
