CAD/CAM computer class
Workstations, server and specialised computer-aided design and manufacturing software, accessible including to people with disabilities.
1 / 4- Acquired through
- ATEd - Academic Technology Education Across Borders
- Location
- Baia Mare, Maramureș - Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, North University Centre
The computer class with CAD/CAM systems is where the part exists before it is cut. The equipment includes workstations, a server and the necessary software licences.
What happens here
- 3D design of parts and assemblies
- Generating machining toolpaths (CAM) for the CNC machines
- Simulating machining before starting the machine
- Preparing models for 3D printing and for the VR applications
Accessibility
The specialised software provides an opportunity to acquire new digital skills for teachers and students and is accessible to people with disabilities - an explicit requirement of the ATEd project, not a later addition.
Distance learning
The Guide CAD for high school students and the Guide for work in CAM systems are designed for distance learning. Those who cannot physically reach Baia Mare can go through the theoretical part from home and come only for the practical part.
