The pie-making workshop took place with hosts in Vadu Izei, where students learned the recipes and techniques of traditional Maramureș cooking, with dough kneaded by hand and baked in a wood-fired oven.
The day continued with visits to Bârsana Monastery and to the traditional crafts of the area: the stone mill and the whirlpool washer, installations that have worked on the same principle for hundreds of years.
The documented recipes feed into the guide to traditional cuisine produced within the project.
